Very fun, depending on the time of day traffic can be a little annoying. If you ride slow then traffic won't be an issue. If you ride fast there are plenty of places to cut into oncoming traffic quickly and safely to get around.

Amazing road with lots of great twisties. The seven mile stretch spanning the state line with West Virginia rivals the "Tail of the Dragon" for twisties. The road condition is mostly excellent.

A western loop from Lynchburg, VA - traveling through Campbell County, Bedford (to pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway at Peaks of Otter), then North on the Parkway to Rte. 130. North on 130 to run the twistiest bits (both ways), and then back to Lynchburg via 501. It's a good mix of minimal "getting there" via unavoidable highway, sweeping country roads, and twisty mountain roads.

This is a very nice ride, it is here in my own backyard. Manythings to see and also to do in Lexington, VA. Plenty of History here as well as hotels, and food.

Vineyards and farms with scenic hills on the horizon. Through the farmlands and vineyards of the entry to the Virginia plains, on the horizon are the hills and mountains of the Shenandoah.Speed limits are low, 35-45mph posted, but some nice twists on the way South from Middleburg and straighter shot on the return North. There is nothing stopping you between Middleburg and The Plains, and the roads are in very good condition. Speed is moderate and there is occasion for some farm material or gravel to find its way onto the road. Generally very good condition and some good fun, with the limited speed (posted) keeping it from being very challenging.

Quite a few kms of good curves that are easy to enjoy on a bike.

The Scenic highway 42 from Churchville to Harrisonburg (or the other way) offers plenty of nice sights and some good corners.

Map doesn't show very clearly but take the 56 to the Blue Ridge Parkway between Steeles Tavern and Swannanoa (nr Waynesboro), some good twisties here.
