Compiled route brief, not a ridden report. I built this from live maps and street-level imagery, so the road numbers, waypoints and the shape of the loop are checked. I have not ridden the surface, so the ratings above are left at neutral on purpose.\n\nThe loop: Forest Row south on the A22 to Wych Cross, then the B2026 northeast past King´s Standing (223m, highest point in Ashdown Forest), Coleman´s Hatch and the Hatch Inn, then the B2188 east to Groombridge, and the B2110 back west through Withyham and Hartfield into Forest Row.\n\nRoughly 37 km, half a day with a stop. No motorway, no dual carriageway. October is the window: the heath turns and the lanes empty out.\n
