Great Ride!!! A must do if your are in the area!
This is an outstanding ride. Thanks to Isberrios1 for listing it. Highly recommended. If you are within a few hours it is definitely worth the ride to get here. Many small mountain towns and low-cost hotels around to make a weekend of it. No shortage of other good routes to ride in addition to this great route. There are some really tight slow curves but mostly motorcyle perfect. There are even banked multiple s-curves, which seem like a mountain racetrack. Good riding scenery and some occassional vistas if you want to stop riding. The town of Helen has an annual motorcycle weekend gathering.
This is a very nice and Challenging Road. It takes you through 60 (warm up). Then goes onto 129 (the mountain racetrack). Then off to the highest peak in georgia at 180. Moving to a nice and relaxing riverside ride on 17/75. Lunch at Helen GA to then go up Richard Russel 348 (great views and nice elevation changes. 180 West after refuelling at the fruit stand to some extremely tight turns and challenging cambers. Then 60 again for a great ride back.Deffinitelly a great mountain ride and it wont leave you wishing for more.
